Kevin + Michele // modern wedding at the Aloft Hotel in Dallas

Kevin and Michele could not be any cuter! To meet them is to instantly see how much fun they have together, so when we met with them many months ago, we couldn’t wait to spend more time with them. She is in the healthcare industry, while he serves in the Dallas Fire Department. With their beautiful smiles, infectious personalities, and love for helping others, Dallas is one lucky place to be if you’re ever in need of care!

We had a great time spending the evening with them at the modern Aloft Hotel in Downtown Dallas for their hip wedding, and rocking’ reception that followed. Here are just a few snaps from the evening. We wish them both the very best!!!

Hayden // plano west senior

Carey and I remember Hayden from many years ago. The youngest in a great family with two older siblings, he tended to be ‘the shy one’ as I recall, but when we re-connected several weeks ago I could see that he has definitely grown out of that!
Hayden has been working for years on restoring (heck…even building from the ground up) this awesome, red land cruiser with his dad. Close to completion, he is quite proud of their accomplishment together, and I know his parents are even more proud of the man he has become. Good luck at school Hayden, and all you endeavor to do!!!

Chance + Valerie // engagement portraits at Lake Travis

Upon meeting Valerie a few months ago, I was immediately taken by her big smile and infectious laugh as she described her joy and love for (as-yet-to-be-met) Chance. Meeting their freshman year at Baylor University in Waco, they didn’t actually start dating until well into their junior year. As their love grew, and wedding bells were ringing in her ears, Chance would often say “There will be a ‘someday’…but it’s not today.” Fast forward to Christmas of 2011, and taking his knee at his families ranch overlooking the Palo Duro Canyon outside of Amarillo, Tx. he said “Today is Someday…will you marry me?”.

Judging by the pictures below you can see that a) She said ‘yes!’, b) he still makes her laugh, and c) they are completely in love!
Can’t wait to capture their wedding day in the coming weeks!

Jake and Katie are such a great match. When we met with them last year to hear their story, we could see the love and joy in their eyes, but had no idea their wedding day would be filled so much more.
Meeting on the softball field of a co-ed league, he tried to play it cool (like Maverick) I guess you could say, while she was focused on winning no matter the distractions. Several years later, they are tieing the knot, and beginning their own team together.

We were so grateful to capture their wedding day ceremony at Prestonwood Baptist Church of Plano with their exciting, dance-filled, reception at Cityplace of Dallas. Here are a handful of images taken from their big day, and if you haven’t already seen their highlights trailer, you should check that out too!

Michele Bridals at White Rock Lake

Michele was so much fun to photograph. She had a vision for what she wanted, but on a clouded, windy afternoon at White Rock she had the best attitude and said ‘Let’s just go for it!’ We did, and was able to match her vision…all while avoiding the oncoming rain! Michele and Kevin were wed this past weekend, and we can’t wait to post images from their beautiful wedding.

Adam + Jordan // the highlights

Meeting Adam and Jordan for the first time in a downtown coffee shop, I knew this was going to be a special wedding day. The way they held each others hands, sat closely on a wide couch, and smiled when they looked at each other…priceless. Fast forward to 2012, and as I imagined…it was a wedding day filled with St. Patty’s Day green, a slight wind cutting across the greens, a whole lot of love…and ah yes, a surprise dance you’ll have to wait until the end to see!

Jake + Kate // cleer’ly the highlights

It began with a 3am email just 3 days before their wedding…

The groom was hoping it wasn’t too late to add a wedding film to their photography contract which was signed many months ago. He also wanted it to be a surprise for his bride-to-be! Luckily (as I’m sure you’ll see) we were available at the 9th hour, pulling our team together and gearing up for an exciting wedding film weekend!

As the rain clouds rolled in, and mother nature sought to make it a dreary day, the love that these two, their families, and friends brought with them set the stage for something truly beautiful. Jake brings an infectious laughter, a love for close friends, and my fav…a HUGE love for the 80′s flick TOP GUN! Katie has a smile that turn heads and melts hearts, a commitment to her girls, and a few dance moves that puts many to shame.

There were so many stories throughout the day that we could have told, but the thread that weaves them all together is the steadfast love that began the moment they met on the co-ed softball field. We wish them both the very best in life and love, and once again…so glad that we could add this piece to their wedding keepsakes.

Greg and Nikki are the perfect picture of fun! When we met them months ago to capture their engagement portraits, we began to see how much they loved to laugh and enjoy one another’s friendship. Jacob + Camille // beautiful wedding at the gallery in houston

Jacob and Camille…where does one start? We have known Jacob and his wonderful family for almost 10 years…and have been blessed by them in countless ways. So when we received the call that he was engaged, we knew it was going to be special. Of course, after meeting them for their engagement portrait session, we had the privilege of meeting Camille, and knew they were a match made in heaven.

We were so blessed and honored to travel to the Gallery in Houston last November to celebrate their union…and see so many old friends. Jake and Camille are such a wonderful couple who love Jesus and are destined for many wonderful days of ministry and marriage for years to come.
